CAN YOU PERFORM A REPAIR TO MY INSTRUMENT WHILST I WAIT?

We can provide a whilst you wait service on certain repairs. Due to the nature of Setups and Fret work, those services are generally not available whilst you wait. We understand that you do not want to be without your precious guitar, but we also want to ensure we a giving you the best service possible and this takes time! we never want to rush a repair as the results can be less than ideal! Special circumstances will be considered and urgent repairs with a good reason my be performed whilst you wait.

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

Our turnaround time can vary widely. We generally quote 5-7 Working Days on most repairs. This can go up to 10-14 Working Days, depending on the time of year and how busy we are! 90% of jobs are completed and ready for collection within 14 days of being booked in.

CAN I DROP MY INSTRUMENT IN FOR REPAIR WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED?

Yes! As we are based within PMT Birmingham, you are able to drop instruments off any time within their opening hours. The staff in store are able to book you guitar in with us and store it safely and securely in our workshop, even when we are closed!

DO YOU SUPPLY PARTS AND STRINGS FOR THE REPAIRS?

Yes, we are able to supply all parts for your instruments. We always use the highest quality parts available but are happy to work within your budget to ensure that you get the best quality that you can afford! we recommend CTS Pots, Switchcraft Toggle Switches and Jack Sockets and CRL Blade Switches. We Recommend Seymour Duncan Pickups and Gotoh hardware, but are happy to supply whatever brand you wish to use!
PMT Birmingham is a Seymour Duncan, DiMazio, Fender and Gibson Dealer, so we can order these brands direct from the manufacturers to ensure you get the lowest price possible!
PMT Birmingham also have a large selection of strings in store, so you are able to choose exactly the brand and gauge that you want on your instrument. We are always happy to recommend a set of strings if you are looking for something new, but are unsure on which gauge will suffice!
